The Internet Sucks Now.

So, I’m starting a blog like the good ol’ days, and I’m not even going to be serious about using keywords. I reject the Internet as it is, and I’m returning to use the software & tools that I grew up with in the early 2000s. If any search engine wants to crawl my website and rank my blog then so be it. Although, I really don’t care about getting page ranked by the major players in the market. I’ll find an alternative way to reach an audience without them. Above all, I want my ideas to be valuable for a real human audience, so that I’m not wasting anyone’s time.

No doubt, low effort mind rotting content will continue to be generated on the open Internet thanks to AI chatbots but whatever, I’m going back to the way things used to be, and I’m going to write about anything I want to write about. It feels freeing to not care how much traffic my website receives, stressing over what are the best SEO keywords, or fooling around with registering and configuring a .com domain name anymore. If my content gets taken down by my service host provider, then I’ll just post it somewhere else. This whole blog is version controlled, so good luck to shutting me down or cancelling my speech so easily.

Lastly, I’d like to make a call to arms to delete your social media accounts. Also, delete your professional job networking profiles, because all of those platforms are just making you into their product and stealing your data. Subdue your ego and be open to more job opportunities, and you should change to talk to a human and apply directly. We are giving away too much of our personal data, and we’ve gotten little to nothing in return. Except these profit-driven corporations attempt to manipulate our behaviors based on what we told them about ourselves, and they steal our time and attention. Lately, some tech platforms are going after influencing our agency to make decisions too. Opt out of this stupid game we’ve been duped into playing and make a concious effort to go play actual good games we used to enjoy in the past.
